CTA Boardroom · The Climb to the Peak

Know the architecture. Defend the decision.

A concentrated 16-session coaching program for experienced Salesforce architects who need domain depth, clearer executive communication, and repeated practice under CTA-style pressure.

The learning arc

Three moves, repeated until fluent.

The program turns knowledge into a board-ready habit. Every session connects business requirements to enterprise ownership, system responsibility, implementation choices, and operational consequences.

01

Frame

Extract drivers, constraints, scale, security, transition needs, and the decisions that actually matter.

02

Architect

Place capabilities in the right systems, justify the pattern, reject viable alternatives, and expose trade-offs.

03

Defend

Present with a coherent story, withstand challenges, correct cleanly, and pivot when a premise changes.

Personalized from the start

Your plan follows the evidence, not a generic calendar.

Every candidate begins with a readiness baseline. The coaching emphasis then adapts to the recurring technical, reasoning, presentation, and Q&A gaps revealed by practice.

1

Fit and readiness conversation

Confirm your target gate, preparation window, current experience, constraints, and whether this program is the right intervention.

2

Personal Boardroom roadmap

Establish a baseline, identify high-risk domains and communication patterns, and agree the study and practice priorities.

3

Evidence-based progress gates

Use written scorecards, recurring-gap tracking, corrected decisions, and mock performance to adjust the plan and assess readiness.

Candidate fit

Serious preparation for experienced architects.

CTA Boardroom is deliberately demanding. It works best when the candidate already has meaningful Salesforce delivery and client-facing architecture experience.

This is likely right for you if

  • You are preparing for Architect Evaluation or the CTA Review Board.
  • You can solve requirements but need stronger enterprise reasoning and defense.
  • You want direct challenge, detailed feedback, and repeated timed practice.
  • You can commit to preparation and correction work between sessions.

Build foundations first if

  • You are early in your Salesforce architecture journey.
  • You are primarily looking for certification memorization or product lectures.
  • You cannot yet draw on delivery experience across security, data, integration, and lifecycle.
  • You are not able to prepare scenarios or act on candid feedback between sessions.
Why CTA Boardroom

Concentrated, transparent, and built around performance.

A defined 16-session journey gives candidates clear scope while preserving enough flexibility to spend more coaching time where the evidence shows it is needed.

Two CTA lensesA primary coach plus a guest CTA at selected checkpoints exposes you to different questioning styles.
Eight formal mocksFour short Evaluation-style and four long Review Board-style simulations build depth progressively.
Written feedback loopScorecards, recurring-gap tracking, corrected decisions, and next-practice actions after each mock.
Beyond the credentialThe same habits strengthen architecture judgment, stakeholder communication, and leadership under pressure.
Built for both gatesEval.
Board.

One architecture muscle, trained at two depths.

Salesforce currently describes the Evaluation as 60 minutes to prepare, 30 minutes to present, and 30 minutes of Q&A. The final Review Board gives 180 minutes to prepare, followed by a 45-minute presentation and 40-minute Q&A.

  • Short mocks build Evaluation pacing, prioritization, and concise defense.
  • Long mocks build full-board synthesis, artifact discipline, endurance, and deep Q&A.
  • Communication is coached in every session, not saved for the end.
Two CTA perspectives

Coaches who challenge the reasoning.

The program combines a primary coaching relationship with an additional CTA lens at selected checkpoints and mocks, giving the candidate exposure to different questioning styles.

Curriculum

Eight connected coaching tracks.

Each track produces a reusable architecture artifact and ends with a judge-style defense. The objective is not feature recall. It is sound enterprise reasoning under time pressure.

Accuracy note: Salesforce's published Review Board outline contains seven top-level headings. This curriculum creates eight teaching tracks by separating Governance from Development Lifecycle and Deployment because it deserves focused practice, while Communication remains an official domain and a cross-cutting skill.
01

System Architecture

Enterprise landscape, org strategy, scale, channels, reporting, licensing

+

Coaching focus

  • Choose the appropriate on-platform and off-platform mix.
  • Define system, capability, data, orchestration, and reporting ownership.
  • Defend single-org, multi-org, mobile, document, analytics, and license decisions.
Judge attack: Why does this capability belong in Salesforce, and what happens when volume, geography, or acquisitions change?
02

Security & Identity

Least privilege, sharing, external users, SSO, access control, audit

+

Coaching focus

  • Design end-to-end identity, authentication, provisioning, and session controls.
  • Apply object, field, record, and programmatic security deliberately.
  • Cover encryption, monitoring, compliance, secure code, and privileged operations.
Judge attack: Show exactly how this user gets access, how it is revoked, and how the design prevents lateral visibility.
03

Data Architecture

Model, ownership, migration, quality, LDV, retention, archive, analytics

+

Coaching focus

  • Build a logical data model with ownership and lifecycle.
  • Handle large data volumes, skew, selectivity, retention, archival, and purge.
  • Design migration reconciliation, cutover, rollback, and reporting continuity.
Judge attack: What is the system of record, why is all this data needed operationally, and how will you prove migration completeness?
04

Solution Architecture

End-to-end process, capability placement, config vs code, UX, products

+

Coaching focus

  • Map user-to-process-to-system-to-data journeys.
  • Select declarative, programmatic, packaged, or external capabilities.
  • Expose non-functional consequences and operational ownership.
Judge attack: You solved each requirement, but is the result one coherent solution or a collection of features?
05

Integration Architecture

Landscape, patterns, APIs, events, middleware, errors, transactions

+

Coaching focus

  • Select synchronous, asynchronous, event, batch, and virtualization patterns.
  • Define contract, source, target, orchestration, security, idempotency, and SLAs.
  • Design monitoring, retry, reconciliation, replay, and failure ownership.
Judge attack: What happens after timeout, duplicate delivery, partial failure, downstream outage, or a breaking contract change?
06

Development Lifecycle & Deployment

Delivery method, environments, source control, CI/CD, quality, transition

+

Coaching focus

  • Design team topology, branching, packaging, environments, and release trains.
  • Build automated test, static analysis, secret scanning, SAST, and approval gates.
  • Plan deployment, rollback, data changes, hypercare, and support handover.
Judge attack: How can multiple teams release safely while production support and hotfixes continue?
07

Governance & Delivery Assurance

Decision rights, standards, risk, quality, architecture authority, operations

+

Coaching focus

  • Define the governance bodies, decision rights, cadence, and escalation path.
  • Connect architecture, security, data, integration, release, and operational governance.
  • Use measurable exit criteria instead of generic steering committees.
Judge attack: Who can approve this exception, who owns the risk, and what evidence closes the gate?
08

Communication & Board Defense

Story, diagrams, recommendations, objections, corrections, pivots

+

Coaching focus

  • Lead with business reasoning and architecture principles.
  • Present one connected story with visible traceability and decisive language.
  • Handle challenges, admit and correct gaps, and adapt to changed requirements.
Judge attack: Give me the recommendation first, then the rationale, alternative, trade-off, and pivot condition in under 60 seconds.
16-session plan
